Instructions on How to Use the Time Calculator, for Adding Hours and Minutes

To use the online time calculator simply enter the minutes on the right, and the hours on the left.  You DO NOT enter decimal points, words, or any type of punctuation mark including colons (:).  DO NOT press the enter key for the online version of the time calculator.  To obtain the result, after you enter numbers, left click on the calculation button, or press the tab key.  Alternatively, you can left click with the mouse on the tan background.  However, the tab key is the most efficient way to use the calculator, because it also moves the cruiser from one cell to another.  If you want to delete all of the numbers that you entered press the button marked: CLEAR (delete all).  If you want to print your results you should open the printer friendly version of the online calculator.

The Excel and OpenOffice Calc versions of the calculator work the same as above, except you can use the enter key to obtain the calculated results.

How to Download all of the Above Calculators (in template format) in a Single Folder

If you want the above calculators in a reusable template format left click on these words.  This will download a folder that contains the Excel and OpenOffice Calc versions, as well as a JavaScript version.

When you download the folder, you can use the Windows cut-and-paste functions to place the folder anywhere you choose, such as on the desktop, or in the documents folder.

To open the folder left click on it with the mouse, and then you will see five icons, each representing a calculator.  To open one of the calculators left click on its icon.

Each time you open a template you must save the resulting document with a file name that is different than other file names that you have on your system.  The document will have the calculator in it, and you can open it, and enter numbers at any time, and it will recalculate.  This feature is useful when permanent records are needed.  All of this only applies to the Excel and the OpenOffice Calc templates, and it does not apply to the JavaScript version. The JavaScript version does not retain any information once it is closed.
